At the conclusion of their annual business review with the merchandizing giant, the Seattle-based seafood company was presented with a “Partner Award of Excellence” for 2008. Target acknowledges a select group of vendor partners each year for their “extraordinary passion for performance and dedication to the Target brand”. With this award Target recognizes innovative leadership, superior business practices and commitment to the core strategies of Differentiation, Value and Reliability. Larry Williams, Director of Retail Sales & Marketing for Orca Bay remarked on the uniqueness of the accolade, “We are the first seafood company ever to receive this prestigious award and that speaks volumes”. Orca Bay provides Target with a wide range of frozen seafood selections from frozen steaks and fillets, to King Crab, to breaded seafood choices. The products are marketed under Target’s Archer Farms and Market Pantry brands.
