Currently we are looking to fill the following position(s):


Job Summary:  To perform a variety of production tasks, such as operating vac-pac machines, sorting, scaling, and packaging frozen seafood. 

Essential Functions:

  • Performs unskilled production work on seafood packing line, which could include reading and filling recipes for tumbler on burger machine, scaling, checking weights, checking counts, feeding vac-pac machines, feeding bagger/sealer, sorting, and packaging of frozen seafood.
  • To complete tasks in a fast paced work environment, as well as follow directions as given by leads
  • Become part of the production team to ensure that the line operates as efficiently as possible.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Be aware of and follow all company policies as outlined in Employee Handbook. 

Secondary Responsibilities, Duties:

  • Responsible for completing training for GMP’s, Allergens, Safety measures and any additional training required for specific position.
  • Perform special jobs as directed by Leads, Supervisors, and Managers.


Minimum Requirements

Education:  High school diploma or equivalent. 

Experience:  Minimum three years increasingly responsible seafood production experience.

Knowledge and Skills:  Must be able to follow written and oral directions to complete tasks in a fast paced work environment.


Working Conditions:  Position holder works on factory floor where elevated noise levels require hearing protection.  Ambient temperature in factory area averages 50°F.   Must be able to meet multiple and competing project deadlines in a fast paced work environment.  This position requires frequent extended hours due to seasonal business demands.


Physical Requirements:  Normal hearing, good speaking voice and clear enunciation.


Forklift Driver – Frozen warehouse – Dayshift

Job Summary: Receive inbound product shipments and ship finished goods within customer timeframes.

Essential Functions:

  • Order Selection.
  • Build orders as directed by the RF picking system.
  • Survey all orders for damaged boxes and re-box as needed. While noting all inventory discrepancies.
  • Count orders to determine correct case counts.
  • Build and wrap orders in a way that will maintain product integrity through the distribution process.
  • Stage finished orders so that space in the staging area is used efficiently.
  • Be able to use RF unit for shipping and receiving
  • Stage product for Production, manifesting with accuracy all product going to production line.
  • Have sufficient product knowledge to insure accurate inbound and outbound orders

The duties noted above are specific to this position but are not limited to only these functions. Daily assignments are determined by supervision taking into account the specific workload.

Minimum Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum two years increasingly responsible warehouse experience.

Knowledge and Skills: Basic PC and keyboarding skills. Requires excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and ability to effectively prioritize tasks and supervise staff in a fast paced work environment. Requires professional demeanor for constant interaction with numerous internal and external contacts. Requires current forklift certification and ability to operate standup forklift. And battery operated pallet jack.

Working Conditions: Typical warehouse environment with some exposure to outside weather conditions. Position involves exposure to freezing, non-weather conditions in product cold storage. Must be able to meet multiple and competing deadlines in a fast paced work environment with numerous interruptions. This position requires frequent extended hours due to seasonal business demands.

Physical Requirements: Normal hearing, good speaking voice and clear enunciation . Requires ability to move throughout warehouse and production areas. Requires ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds.


Outside Production Coordinator

Job Summary : Records and tracks product produced at external locations both domestically and internationally. Coordinate raw materials and packaging with production requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Arrange for outside processing of inventory at foreign locations.
  • Coordinating transfer of product and packaging to outside processing locations. Providing shipping information for delivery of product to external product sites.
  • Coordination with Quality Assurance requirements to ensure product in outside locations adheres to quality standards. (internal and external standards).
  • Monitor and maintain packaging inventories at all overseas facilities, communicating with Purchasing on future items that will be needed.
  • Communicates and coordinates with miscellaneous packaging vendors regarding purchase orders for items necessary locally and abroad.
  • Enter purchase orders.
  • Monitors and update computer with all packaging movement from any warehouse where packaging is stored, including shipping and receiving transfers and purchase order receiving. As well as any freight or miscellaneous charges.

Secondary Responsibilities, Duties:

  • Assist Operations Manager in monitoring packaging requirements for production.
  • Complete cross training with inventory control, purchasing accountant functions, import functions and serve as backup during absences and work overflows.

Minimum Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum two years experience in seafood inventory control.

Salary: DOE

Knowledge and Skills: Intermediate level proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook, and ten-key by touch. Requires excellent communication and organizational skills, accuracy, attention to detail, good math skills, ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines in a fast paced work environment.

Working Conditions: Typical office environment with moderate noise levels. Must be able to meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines in a fast paced work environment with numerous interruptions. Extended hours may be required occasionally due to seasonal business demands.

Physical Requirements: Normal hearing, good speaking voice and clear enunciation . Requires sitting for extended periods of time while performing extensive data entry.

Quality Control Technician

Job Summary : Works with little or no supervision to accurately perform product quality tests ensuring raw and finished products meet Orca Bay’s quality standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Inspects and tests product for wholesomeness while assigned to a production line as well as raw material when applicable. This includes glaze tests, quality & condition, product/package weights and verifying accuracy of all components of the product.
  • Ensures that the product meets customer specifications and quality standards. Alerts appropriate staff of questionable product quality in a timely manner.
  • Uses mathematical formulas to calculate scale settings and perform tests. Monitors the accurateness of these calculations with every production check and adjusts them as needed.
  • Performs sensory testing on raw seafood products and organoleptic testing on cooked seafood products. (testing uses senses of sight, smell, and taste)
  • Follows and enforces employee Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Notifies QA Supervisor or Manager of any outstanding issues.
  • Performs tasks related to the HACCP program, such as metal detector checks, label reviews, and saw blade checks. Accurately maintains inspection and test records, and enters inspection results into Excel spreadsheets. Records descriptive notes of any circumstances occurring on the production line, including spec deviations or quality issues.
