Grilled Alaskan King Crab with Peanut Noodles

Ingredients

  • 4 Orca Bay King Crab legs, sliced down the center
  • ¼ cup smooth peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp. each of the following: water, soy sauce, honey
  • 2 tbsp. each of the following: peanut oil, sesame oil. dry sherry
  • 2 tsp. each of chopped garlic and grated ginger
  • 1/3 cup rice wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup tahini
  • ¼ tsp, red pepper flakes, pinch salt
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tsp. Sambal chili paste
  • 2 tbsp. rice wine vinegar
  • 3 tbsp. peanut oil
  • ¾ pound Chinese wheat noodles
  • 1 tbsp. peanut oil
  • ¼ cup ea. grated carrot and sliced green onion

Instructions

For the peanut dressing

  1. Put the peanut butter in a bowl whisk in rest of peanut dressing ingredients.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  4. Cook the noodles, stirring occasionally, until soft, 4-5 minutes.
  5. Drain and rinse under cold running water.
  6. Toss noodles with the peanut oil to prevent and chill.

For the soy dipping sauce

  1. Whisk all ingredients in a bowl and let sit.
  2. Light a fire on a grill (should be 375-400 degree), when hot take the split crab legs and place on the grill, cut side up.
  3. Char outside, Crab is already cooked just warm through.
  4. Remove crab.
  5. Toss noodles with peanut dressing.
  6. Place the cooked crab on the noodles and garnish with grated carrot and green onion.
  7. Put and Place on the plate or on side.
